Life Helpers is a dedicated and experienced team delivering person‑centred NDIS support to participants located within the Townsville region, ensuring they have ongoing access to reliable, high‑quality services that promote independence, wellbeing, and community connection no matter where they live.

Life Helpers was established eight years ago with a clear and heartfelt mission: to enhance quality of life through practical, meaningful, and everyday support. Driven by Melanie’s passion for empowering others to build vital life skills, the organisation has grown steadily into a committed and compassionate team united by the same values.

Today, Life Helpers continues to provide a high standard of care and support, enabling individuals to build confidence, increase independence, and enjoy more fulfilling lives within their communities.

Supports & Services

  • Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation is an NDIS Core Supports budget designed to help engage in community life, build skills, and gain independence. It funds support workers, transportation, and activity costs for activities like volunteering, social outings, sports, and classes, aiming to foster inclusion and personal growth

  • This support category relates to assisting with or supervising personal tasks of dailylife. These supports are provided individually and can be provided in a range of environments, including the participant’s own home.

  • This support assists to implement NDIS plans by strengthening ability to connect with the broader systems of supports and to understand the purpose of the funded supports. Support Connection assists to understand the NDIS plan, and provide assistance to connect with providers. Support Connection will assist to achieve effective utilisation of the NDIS plan and answer questions as they arise.

  • Disability-Related Health Supports provide nursing care to respond to the disability-related health needs where that care is not the usual responsibility of the health system. Allowing greater access to these supports.
