About the Mission

Who we are

Life Helpers was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with disability by providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, confidence, and community participation.

What began over eight years ago through Melanie's passion for helping others develop practical life skills has grown into a trusted and dedicated support service. From the very beginning, our focus has been on building genuine relationships, understanding each person's unique goals, and providing the support needed to help them live life on their own terms.

At Life Helpers, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and rewarding life. We understand that every participant's journey is different, which is why we take the time to listen, learn, and tailor our supports to suit individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.

Our team is made up of compassionate, skilled, and committed support professionals who share a common purpose: empowering people to achieve greater independence and participate fully in their communities. Whether it's developing everyday living skills, building social connections, accessing employment opportunities, working towards personal goals, or simply providing support when it's needed most, we are here every step of the way.

We are proud to support individuals and families across North Queensland, helping people build confidence, experience new opportunities, and achieve outcomes that matter to them. From community events and recreational activities to skill development and capacity building programs, we work alongside our participants to create pathways towards greater choice, control, and independence.

As Life Helpers continues to grow, our commitment remains unchanged. We strive to deliver support that is respectful, reliable, and focused on each person's strengths and potential. Everything we do is guided by our belief that with the right support, every individual can thrive and lead a life filled with purpose, connection, and opportunity.
